The Edison Affair tells the story of James Edison's rise and fall as the Hotel Heir to the Edison Hotel Chain in Perth Australia from the 1940's
Born into wealth from his widowed father Frank Edison along with his older brother Frank Edison II, James takes over the Edison hotel chain upon his father's ill health and retirement.
A playboy at heart, James is married to the conservative Marion Edison, also his brothers ex, and ignores the protests from his brother when he wants to include nightclubs in the hotel chain.
We also meet his other love, the vivacious nightclub singer Scarlett, and follow the highs and lows of his relationship with his jealous brother Frank and his wife.
